C.J. Yeh

C.J. Yeh is a co-founder of DSGN BY D. He is Executive Creative Director of Cynda Media Lab and a tenured professor and curriculum chair of Creative Technology and Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY.

He has worked in this industry for more than thirty years. Cynda's clients include GUND, MIT, Google, WeWork, the NFL, and Alan Menken. The studio's work has been recognized by the Type Directors Club, Communication Arts, iF, and HOW.

At FIT he teaches kinetic typography and type design, and he built the Creative Technology and Design curriculum with Christie Shin. The two of them wrote Empowering Design Education with AI: Curriculum Innovation in the Age of Creative Intelligence, published in August 2026, which documents the AI-Assisted Design minor they built and the Five Pillars of Creative Intelligence framework behind it.
